MTTC Ch#179 - Happy Healing

Time for a new theme on My Time To Craft and for the next fortnight the challenge is Happy Healing.  For my DT work I have made a little card using an image from an old birthday card, distressed and inked the edges and simply added a ribbon and peel off greeting.

The Happy Scrappers Ch#1 - Anything Goes

A brand new monthly scrapbooking challenge blog starts today so pop on over to The Happy Scrappers and take part!  We all have photos we want to do something with tucked away in our cupboards, so Shaz and I decided to start up a blog as there aren't many scrapping ones around!  This is a great chance to dig them out and have a go at scrapping!

Our first challenge is Anything Goes - so nice and easy!  For my DT work I scrapped some photos I took one evening in February when it snowed quite heavily and I loved the way they came out with a glowing light so wanted to make a LO with these, unusual colour scheme for snowy pics but I think it worked!

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #16 - Christmas Tree

Goodness, 1st May!  Where is the year going!  Time for a new theme on Sparkles Christmas Challenge and this time it is Christmas Tree.  I am not in the mood for making cards, but I am dabbling in some art journalling so decided to make a little page for my DT work using Dylusions spray inks and some of my favourite stamps.

We are sponsored by Joanna Sheen with a lovely £10 voucher for the winner, and also Crafty Emma's Store, also with a lovely £10 voucher for another winner, so pop on over and take part!

RRC Ch #27 - Brown and Pink

The new theme on Ruby's Rainbow Challenges for the next 2 weeks is Brown and Pink (with a bit of cream or white if needed).  I made a LO for my DT work using photos of 2 of my guinea pigs, both of which are girls despite the name (we were told she was a boy when we bought her!).  Letters and grass are cut with my Cricut.

MTTC Ch #178 - Gardening Gems

This theme on My Time To Craft was just right for me this time, Gardening Gems, as I am still in the process of making my calendar for this year using photos I have taken previously in our garden.  My last post was May and this post is April!  I loved these dark almost black tulips we had in the garden.  Sadly they didn't reappear this year so I will have to buy some more bulbs for next Spring!

F for Feathered Friends

Time for a new challenge on the Alphabet Challenge Blog, and for the next two weeks it is F for Feathered Friends.  For my DT work I have made another page for my calendar that I am slowly getting made using photos I have taken in the garden.  I love these little chipboard birds and hope I can find them again and buy some more as I don't have many left!

Sparkles Monthly Challenge Ch#31 - Men Only

On Sparkles Monthly Challenges our new theme is Men Only.  These aren't always the easiest cards to make!  For my DT card I recycled part of an old birthday card (it seemed a shame not to reuse the image!) and distressed all the edges of bps etc.

This month we are sponsored by Crafty Emma's Store and you can win a £10 prize to spend so come on over and take part.

Excititing News - A New Challenge Blog for Scrapbooking!!

Shaz and I were chatting and decided that a scrapbooking blog would be a good idea as we all have so many photos and don't seem to get round to doing as much with them as we would like to, plus we are getting a bit snowed under with cards!  So  Happy Scrappers was born and we are now looking for 3 people to join the DT  who can commit to making one page a month and sharing in with the commenting.  Pop over and leave a comment to be considered for a place on the team.  The first challenge goes live on 5th May.

The new theme on My Time To Craft for the next two weeks is Fairy Nice.  I needed a card for a little girl who loves all things pink, sparkly, shiny and fairies so I made her this which isn't my usual style but I hope she likes it!

SCC Challenge #15 - Colour Me Happy

The new theme on Sparkles Christmas Challenge this month is Colour Me Happy and we are asked to use our favourite Christmas colour combination for this one.  My favourites change all the time, but I do like dark blue and white for Christmas so for my DT work I used an old favourite stamp I have had for years and some HOTP bp to make my card.

Our challenge this time is sponsored as usual by Joanna Sheen with a fab first prize of a £10 spend in her store, plus a second prize of a $10 voucher from Di's Digi Downloads, so go on over and make a start on those Christmas cards, the year is going by very quickly!

MTTC Challenge #175 - Doilies and Flowers

The new theme on My Time To Craft is Doilies and Flowers.  I've not used doilies before on my work although I've seen plenty of lovely cards with them on.  I had some larger doilies in my cake baking drawer in the kitchen, so decided to make a LO of some photos of my Sarah when she was very little - she is 25 now!  I made the bp myself, it was plain cream card to start with!  I am pleased with how it has turned out.

C for Celebrate St. Patrick's Day OR Good Luck

The new theme for the next 2 weeks on the Alphabet Challenge Blog, is Celebrate St. Patrick's Day or Good Luck.  As I don't have any suitable stash or anyone to send a St. Patrick's Day card to I went for the Good Luck option as I needed a New Home card for friends.

SCC Challenge #14 - To Use Peel Offs + Birthday Blog Hop Winner

The new theme on Sparkles Christmas Challenges for the month of March is To Use Peel Offs.  Many years ago when I first started crafting I used to make some Christmas cards using peel offs to make a scene so I thought I would dig out what I have left and make one of those!  It was quite good fun and made a change from stamping!

Our sponsors for this month are Joanna Sheen where you could win a £10 voucher and also Pink Gem Designs where you could win 4 digis, so go on over to the blog and take part for a chance to win.

Also, please check out the challenge blog for the winners of the Birthday Blog Hop we held last month.  The winner from my blog was Julie P - so please contact Shaz (details on the challenge blog) to claim your prize and congratulations!
