The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Brand Spanking New - to either be an event, new techniques or new products. I needed a few Happy New Year cards. Very simple ones, I stamped a lovely wintery scene and embossed with black sparkly embossing powder, matted onto a card with a peel off sentiment (I must buy a Happy New Year stamp!) and finally adding some silver embellishments to finish.
Half way! I wonder if I will finish these by Christmas! Again I had nothing that Tim used on his 12 Tags of Christmas. Luckily a friend had sent me a Christmas card with a cut out deer on so I used that for this skinny - I hope she won't mind!
The new challenge on the Alphabet Challenge Blog is Hats. For my DT card I used one of my favourite House Mouse Christmas stamps and coloured him in with Copics, and simply matted onto red with a stamped greeting and some adhesive gems to finish.
Here is my interpretation of Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas Day 5. I do really like this one and it although I had none of the same things he used I think I managed to match up what I did have quite well! Nearly half way through now lol!!
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Around the World Tour - choose a country. For my DT work I made an atc and chose France. I used a Crafty Individuals Paris stamp, and inked the background of the atc with Wild Honey (is that what's it's called, my mind has gone blank!) and Tea Dye Distress Inks, and added some Tim Holtz doodads, a charm and metallic nailheads to embellish.
This is the last challenge for this year on Craft Your Days Away, and the theme set by Doreen is Punch It Out - use punches or dies. The challenge is sponsored by Craft Brulee and you could win a $10 voucher to spend in the store if you enter, so pop over to the blog for details.
For my DT card I used a floral image coloured in with Copics, the bp is by DCWV and I punched out the flowers using 2 different flower punches, adding pearl embellishments in the centres.
I have made my version of Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas Day 2 - mine is a skinny which I will bind into a book when they are done! Again I didn't have the same things to use but used what was nearest that I already had!
I wanted to join in with Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas again this year, but not make tags! For a change I thought I would make skinnys and then bind them into a book. I am waaaaaay behind - nothing new there! So here is Day 1! I didn't of course have everything Tim uses and won't for probably all of the tags, but here is my interpretation of it above, and Tim's tag below.
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Reindeer Greetings. For my DT card I used a Penny Black clear stamp coloured with Promarkers and I think the bp is DCWV! Snowflakes as always are punched with my Martha Stewart punch for the bigger ones.
The new theme on Alphabet Challenge Blog is F for Foliage. I used a vintage style Christmas image on my card and bp which is either Papermania or Dovecraft but it is upstairs and I am downstairs and I can't remember which! The snowflake is punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Vintage Cards. In my haste to get my DT work completed I misread our instructions and made an ATC - which technically is a card as it is an Artists Trading Card!! I wanted to use old stash up, so used K & Co paper for the background with a little stamping and inking round the edges, and a HOTP image, Tim Holtz doodads, sticky lace, Primas and adhesive pearls - all things I have had for a while!
The new challenge for this fortnight on Craft Your Days Away is Texture. This challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and you could be in with a chance of winning a $10 spend with free p&p if you take part.
I have used stamps by Unity, called A Mother's Love, available here for my DT card. I stamped the butterfly and embossed it, colouring in with Promarkers. The bp is by My Mind's Eye and I co-ordinated the Primas and Card Candy to embellish with texture, and finally added a foam bird!
I am also entering this card for the Top Tip Tuesday challenge - Layer Upon Layer.
The new challenge on the Alphabet Challenge Blog this week is E for Embossing. For my DT card I used my Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, and used one of my old favourites, a Funstamps image. The snowflakes are punched with my Martha Steward punch which seems to be making an appearance on most of my Christmas cards this year! Not sure what the bp is - it is from my huge stash mountain!
The new theme on My Time To Craft is Tag Along. For my DT card I stamped and coloured in a snowman image and stamped a greeting onto a tag. I doodled round the edges, and cut snowflake with a Martha Stewart punch - much used on all my Christmas cards! The holly leaves are punched also and the berries are Liquid Pearls.
The new challenge on the Alphabet Challenge Blog is D for Doodling. I made my DT card using stamps from the Fall for You kit by Unity, available here. I embossed a mat with a Cuttlebug folder and cut one with a Nestabilities die, edging it with doodling. The image is coloured in with Promarkers, and the bp is DCWV that I have had for years!
It was my turn to choose the theme for Craft Your Days Away, and I chose Christmas Trees! We all need to be getting on with making our Christmas cards, well I do anyway! This fortnight the challenge is being sponsored by Charmed Cards & Crafts and the lucky winner will win 2 digital bundles of their choice, so pop over to the blog and take part!
I stamped a Hero Arts tree stamp and coloured in with Promarkers. The bp is by Papermania (yes that stack that we all bought years ago and is still going strong!). The snowflakes are punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and the greeting is by Card Candy.
The new theme on the Alphabet Challenge Blog is C for Cats. For my DT card, I used a Penny Black cat image, and coloured it in with Copics and Promarkers. I kept it fairly simple, the bp is I think HOTP, and I added some ribbon, Card Candy and flowers to embellish.
The theme on InchybyInch this week is Cherish. I used one of my never ending supply of HOTP images (actually I am working through them fairly quickly!) and thought that this little girl would cherish and be cherished!
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Rhapsody of Roses. I made this DT card using an Anita's Stamps rose stamp, coloured in with Promarkers. I matted some HOTP paper onto gold card and added some adhesive gems for embellishing. I don't often use peel off greetings but thought the gold went well with it.
The theme on InchybyInch this week is Patience. I had to think outside the box for this one, and decided that the mother of this child needs patience to get him/her to sleep!! As usual, the image is a HOTP one, I will be running out of these soon!
The theme on InchybyInchy this week has been Home is Where the Heart Is. I made my inchie a few days ago - then promptly lost it! Well they are tiny! I luckily found it this morning under a pile of stuff, just in time for the challenge! I used an image by HOTP as usual.
The new challenge on Craft Your Days Away this fortnight, is All White, with colour being restricted to just the image and embellishments. The sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp, with the lucky winner getting a $10 spend in the online store, p & p paid. Pop over to the blog and take part!
For my DT card I used one of my favourite House Mouse images and coloured him in with Copics. I embossed some white card with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and embellished with Liquid Pearls, Card Candy and white ribbon, keeping it all white!
We have completed the alphabet for the 3rd time and are now starting again at A on the Alphabet Challenge Blog. This week the theme is Angels and Fairies, and for my card I used an old stamp I have had for ages, coloured her in with Copics and matted her onto unknown bps that I have also had for ages!
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Pick a Pocket or Two. For my DT card I used some free bps for the background and made a pocket and punched the edge with a MS punch. The flower image is by Hero Arts, watercoloured in with Marvy Le Plumes.I added punched flowes and gems to embellish.
We have reached the end of the alphabet for the third time on Alphabet Challenge blog. This week the theme is Z for Zig Zags. I made an arch which depicts the 4 seasons, each quarter being separated by zig zags stamped on.
is the theme for My Time To Craft this week! I used a free digi download but I can't remember where it came from as it was from last year. I coloured the image with Copics and used various 'Halloween colours' to make the card. The flowers were cut on my Slice.
Last week our theme on InchybyInch was The Past and this week it is The Future. So I could keep my vintage theme going I have used a HOTP image of 2 small children - because children are The Future! lol well it was all I could think of!!
Another atc made using the lovely Moments in Bloom set by Unity, available here. I inked the background with Crushed Olive Distress Ink then stamped several of the stamps from the set using Memento and Adirondack inks. I edged the atc with a Copic pen and embellished it with metallic nailheads.
The new challenge on Alphabet Challenge Blog is Y for Yellow, with yellow being the main colour of the work. For my DT card I used a Sugar Nellie Maggie stamp, coloured in with Copics, and the bp is I think DCWV. I think it is quite a cheery little card!
This is an atc I made using stamps from the Fall For You set by Unity, available from Emily here. I inked the background with Bundled Sage and Rusty Hinge Distress Inks, and stamped some of the images from the set, colouring in with Promarkers.

I matted the car image and greeting, doodled round the edges and edged the whole card with Copper Krylon, embellishing with metallic nailheads.
I am married with 3 grown up children ,4 grandchildren and 2 dogs! I have always done crafting of some sort, originally knitting, cross stitching and tapestry, then I began paper crafting some years ago and haven't looked back!
I like to take photos of my garden for scrapbooking and the one on here is a sunflower that the birds kindly planted for me!
P.S. - Now I have gone back to doing a lot of knitting, crocheting and sewing too!
