The new challenge on My Time To Craft this week is Yes, Here Comes Summer. I made a card using various summery beach images and sentiments from my collection. I watercoloured it with Marvy Le Plumes, and doodled round the edges. Not quite sure what occasion I might use it for though!!
Time for a new challenge on Craft Your Days Away, and for this fortnight the theme is Vintage. This challenged is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, so to be in with a chance of winning a prize of a $10 voucher to spend in their store, visit the blog and take part.
For my DT work, I used one of my early stamps, by LB Designs, some K & Co Hannah bps, Distress Inks and some swirls cut on my Slice and butterflies punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
The new theme on the Alphabet Challenge Blog is Half a Dozen - to use 6 of the same of something on our work. It was my granddaughter's birthday and I needed a card for her, not my usual style of work, I cut a 4 and her name on my Slice and then used lots of stickers and 6 adhesive gems. I have to say it was great fun using the stickers!
It is time for a new fortnightly challenge on Ruby's Rainbow Challenges, and sadly due to lack of support Shaz has had to change the format of the blog from a colour + theme, to a theme only. Hopefully more people will now be joining in. For my DT work I used some photos I took of the gorgeous tulips in the garden earlier in the year and made a LO for my Garden Album. The swirls are cut on my Slice, and the letters are from a huge bumper pack of die cut alphas from QVC many years ago!
It is time for a new theme for the next fortnight on Sparkles Forum Challenges Blog, and this time the theme is At The Beach. The challenge is sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads and she provided us DT with some lovely images to use. I chose this scene, which I watercoloured in with Marvy Le Plumes and used DCWV Pocket Full of Posies bps and distressed all the edges. I coloured the Card Candy with a Promarker to get the right colour!
The new theme on the Alphabet Challenge Blog is G for Get Well. For my DT work I made a card using one of my much used Hero Arts stamps, coloured in with Promarkers. The bp is DCWV Pocket Full of Posies. I punched a border and some butterflies with Martha Stewart punches (I love these so much and have just bought some more!) and coloured some white flowers with Promarkers to co-ordinate.
I am also entering this card for the Drunken Stampers challenge (love the name!) which is to use Orange.
The new challenge on My Time To Craftis Xtra Images - to use more than one image on our work. For my DT work I made a card using 3 House Mouse images coloured with Copics. I used some BG bp which I think is Gypsy, and punched some butterflies with my Martha Stewart punch.
There is still a week left for our DT call too, so pop over to the blog if you would like to apply!
The new theme on the Alphabet Challenge Blog is Father's Day (or cards for a male). For my DT work I used printed some downloaded bps, and stamped a vintage car image which I coloured with Copics, then clear embossed a few times to make a shiny image. I cut a flourish with my Slice, and added Card Candy greeting and blobs!
Here we are already on the 5th fortnightly challenge from Ruby's Rainbow Challenges, and this time the theme is Embossing and Ecru. I had a good look through my stash to see what I could find for my DT work - I embossed some DCWV bp with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, and used a Hero Arts butterfly stamp coloured with Promarkers, and matted onto some K & Co bp. The butterflies are punched with a Martha Stewart punch and the leaves with a Leone Em one.
We have a DT call on My Time To Craft this week, running for two weeks so pop over and enter if you would like to be considered for the team. All you have to do is provide a link to one of your favourtie pieces of work. The new theme is Wildlife Reserve, and for my DT card I decided to make a CAS card, stamping 2 lion images and matting them onto a long card.
Ruby's Rainbow Challenges currently has a DT call running so pop over to the blog and enter the challenge if you would like to be considered for part of the team! The current challenge is Daughter + Denim and ends on Wednesday 8th June.
The new challenge for this fortnight on Sparkles Forum Challenge blog is Father's Day, and there is a prize of a $10 voucher to use on Stitchy Bear, so pop over and enter.
For my DT work I made a card using an image from an old calendar, these have proved very useful! I used some DCWV Pocket Full of Posies bp plus an unknown one, and Martha Stewart punches to make the border and leaves.
The new theme on the Alphabet Challenge Blog is E for Easel cards. I have to confess that I have never got round to making one of these before! So this was a first for me! I needed a New Home card for someone, and I used some DCWV Pocketful of Posies bps for this. I distressed the edges and stamped the home image and sentiment (unknown brands), and coloured in with Promarkers and Copics. I used Martha Stewart punches for the border and butterflies and finished with gems to embellish.
It was my turn to choose the theme for the new challenge on Sparkles Forum Christmas Challenge and I chose Snowmen! This challenge runs for a month and there is a fab prize of a £10 Joanna Sheen voucher for the lucky winner, so pop over and have a go!
For my DT work I used a cute Penny Black snowman stamp, coloured in with Promarkers and Copics and some BG Figgy Pudding bp. The snowflake is punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I finished with Card Candy.
Also don't forget to pay a visit to Ruby's Rainbow Challenges and have a go at the current challenge, Denim + Daughter. This is a lovely challenge blog run by Shaz, and could do with a few more people to support it!
The new theme on My Time To Craft is Very Funny - to use something that makes us laugh! When I saw this pic of my granddaughter with her head in the washing machine it definitely made me laugh and I knew I had to make a LO of it so used this for my DT work!
I am married with 3 grown up children ,4 grandchildren and 2 dogs! I have always done crafting of some sort, originally knitting, cross stitching and tapestry, then I began paper crafting some years ago and haven't looked back!
I like to take photos of my garden for scrapbooking and the one on here is a sunflower that the birds kindly planted for me!
P.S. - Now I have gone back to doing a lot of knitting, crocheting and sewing too!
