Here is one of the skinnys I have made for the Christmas Skinny swap I am running on Craft Swap Forum - I used my lovely Holiday Pear Collage stamp by Rubber Stampede, Distress Inks and gold embossing powder.
The challenge on Penny Black Saturday is Funky Christmas - so I made my card in lilacs and pinks. I stamped my favourite snowman stamp, Skating Snowy and watercoloured and glitter glued him, then matted him onto some lilac paper and some Cuttblebug embossed snowflake card, and added a message and some QK snowflakes to finish.
The new challenge is a sketch to follow, or use pink and blue, or combine the two on Funky Fairys new forum here! I made a LO using FF Blue Christmas and Funky Meets Shabby Chic papers and a photo of Louise sleeping on her first Christmas Day when we were waiting to open her pressies!
I don't usually do this, but I have made a card for 2 challenges as time is short!! House Mouse & Friends have the theme I'ts Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, and Papertake Weekly have Let it Snow. I used my Gruffy stamp of the bear in the snow on his sled and got a bit carried away with my snowflakes round the edges!
The current challenge on Make a Moo or Two is Pets - I hadn't made one for a while so felt like having a go! I used a free download image from Art-e-Zine, K & Co papers, Distress Inks and embellishments.
The challenge on Cute Card Thursday is to use Red and Green. I stamped my Elzybells cute image and watercoloured her in and matted her onto patterned paper. I punches some snowflakes and stamped a message and added glitter glue to finish!
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is It's Raining It's Pouring! I used my Maggie Sugar Nellie stamp and watercoloured her in with Marvy Le Plumes, and used Funky Fairy Doodlementals papers together with a Cuddly Buddly message and some Primas, and finally some glitter glue for the rain drops!
The new Funky Fairy Challenge is now up on the new forum - there is either a sketch to follow or a Christmas theme using buttons and ribbons. I followed the sketch and did a LO of my dribbly granddaughter, using Hope and Pink papers from the Funky Fairys downloads.
The current Penny Black Saturday challenge is Monochrome. I decided to go with Black and White, and stamped my PB sentiment stamp which I am using a lot this year! and matted it onto black card, then some snowflake embossed card and DCWV black and white papers. I diecut a holly sprig out of paper I had black glitter embossed and used black Stickles for the berries!
Here are my first attempts at stamping on candles! Well stamping on tissue paper and putting it on the candle with greaseproof paper wrapped round it and heating with the heat gun to be precise! I need to perfect the heating bit as I had a little bit of melt here and there but it is fun to do!
I made this card using one of Linda Luckin's fab Teddy Bear stamps (click on the Sunflower link on the right), and Shabby 2 and Cherish 2 papers from Funky Fairys fab downloads. I inked the edges and added a Petaloo and some gems to finish it.
Here are a couple of odd LO's!! I take part in a small challenge on a forum where we scrap about Those Little Things We Overlook - and this theme was Recycling! So here are some pics of our bins and rubbish lol!!!
I liked the card I made the other day with the sentiment only and no image, so I made a few more in different colour ways as they are quite quick to do and I do need a lot of cards! The sentiment is a Penny Black stamp.
I thought I had best get my Christmas Tildas out and make use of them! I stamped and watercoloured her - and gave her a smile I am afraid! - and cut her out and popped her onto some snowy embossed card and a pink snowy background together with a circle message from Funky Fairy's Xmas Rounds set, and some punched glittery pink snowflakes.
It was my turn to set the challenge on My Time To Craft, and I chose Snowmen! I stamped my Snuggled Up Snowman stamp by Lindsay Mason twice, watercoloured them in and cut them out. I embossed some white card with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder for the snow and used some star paper for the sky, and mounted by snowmen to the card with 3d foam pads. Finally I stamped a message and matted the whole thing on some blue foiled paper and added glitter glue for that sparkly look!
The challenge on Penny Black Saturday is to use a sentiment only so I stamped my PB Christmas message stamp and matted it onto red and green shiny papers, and a silvery squirly backing paper. I stamped and cut out a holly sprig and water coloured it and added red Stickles, and finally added 3 gems to complete it.
The current challenge on Funky Fairys is a sketch to follow and here is my interpretation - my first card as a new DT member! I used Funky Fairys Let's Get Traditional Christmas papers and a Cute Companions stamped image, and a Prima pointsettia and buttons sewn on to finish.
Another Christmas card made in pink! This time I have used Funky Fairy's A Chocolate Coloured Christmas papers which can be seen here, and Funky Fairy's Xmas Rounds 1 message. I stamped, water coloured and cut out the snowman and used my Cuttlebug Embossing Folder to make the snow. Finally I added some punched snowflakes and pink Stickles.
I made this folded Christmas card along the same lines as the folded mini book I made a while ago, but just using one section. It is decorated with fabby Funky Fairys Blue Christmas papers which can be downloaded free here . I added stamped images and embellishments and glitter glue to finish!
I need several birthday cards this month. I made this one by covering my card with some HOTP paper, stamping Linda Luckin's daisy stamp and watercolouring it in and matting it to the card with a message. Finally I Stickled the centre of the daisy and edged the card with a chalk ink.
I bought a set of Cute Companions Christmas mice stamps because I love mice, and then I bought the CD to go with it! So I printed off the background and stamped a couple of the mice and water coloured them in before cutting them out and adding them to the background and finishing off with plenty of glitter glue!
I am married with 3 grown up children ,4 grandchildren and 2 dogs! I have always done crafting of some sort, originally knitting, cross stitching and tapestry, then I began paper crafting some years ago and haven't looked back!
I like to take photos of my garden for scrapbooking and the one on here is a sunflower that the birds kindly planted for me!
P.S. - Now I have gone back to doing a lot of knitting, crocheting and sewing too!
