Our new letter on The Craft Barn'sAlpha Challenge is F but it has to be between FE and FR in the dictionary. I went for Flight for my ATC and was able to use a Tim Holtz stamp that I have had for ages tucked away and never used!
The new challenge on Ruby's Rainbow Challengesfor the next two weeks is Baby. For my DT work I have made a LO for my daughter's baby album (she is 26 and I'm working on it now!). The bit on the left is a door hanger I had to make for a previous DT a few years ago and it came in handy for this page!
I needed to make a batch of birthday cards recently, and as the Alphabet Challenge Blog's current challenge is Happy I can enter this for it! It's quite a simple card, made using an image from an old birthday card I received, and although I love inky and messy I also quite like clean and simple too!
The new challenge on Sparkles Monthly Challenges for the next month is Monochromatic. We are sponsored this month by a new sponsor for us, Crafty Ribbons, with a lovely prize of a £10 voucher to be spent with them.
Crafty Ribbons is a ribbon emporium, we are passionate about ribbons and want to share our fantastic ribbons with others. Our range of Christmas ribbons is second to none. Remember when we only used ribbons to add a bow to our hair, or tie up a birthday parcel? Ribbons are now a "must-have" for all types of craft. Whether your project requires satin, sheer, silk, grosgrain, gingham or polka dot ribbon we have them all! Lots and lots of different colours in a range of widths. Need a little bit of ribbon inspiration - then have a look at our projects on our blog,or visit our Inspiration blog,or maybe join in with us at our Challenge blog. Go on, have a look... It's worth it ! Tony & Ali
I made a card this time for my DT work, and as green is one of my favourite colours I used it for this. I cut a butterfly from a left over piece of paper and used other scraps for the background, added a bit of stamping and punched a couple of flowers. As I have added glitter to the butterfly and gems on the flowers, I am entering this for my old blog, theAlphabet Challenge Blog whose theme this time I chose before I left and is Glitter and Gems.
We are up to week 10 on The Craft Barn's Alpha Challengeand our letter this time is K. I went for K for Key as I expect quite a few might, but I used an image of a typewriter to represent 'keys' and also a little stamped image of a ticket saying Admit One which is supposed to represent a key opening something to admit someone!
And my final blog post for today is the new challenge on The Cupboard Trilogy which is Spring Flowers. I have used photos taken this year of some of the beautiful flowers in my garden for my LO and had a great time die cutting and punching out flowers and leaves to embellish it!
My second post today is for the new challenge onRuby's Rainbow Challengeswhich is Furry Friends. For my DT work I have made a LO using photos of my guinea pig boys - the photos seemed to print out a little faded so I used a pale background to match. I had a Sizzix die of flowers that exactly matched the bp (DCWV) so used that for the first time, I've only had it for about 6 years!
The new challenge on Sparkles Christmas Challenges for the month of May is Favourite Festive Colours. For my DT card I used some Daisy and Dandelion transfers I've had for a while (I'm constantly trying to use up old stash!) and bp to co-ordinate. I love reds and greens for Christmas!
This month we are sponsored byFantastic Ribbons with a lovely prize of a £10 voucher to be won.
I am married with 3 grown up children ,4 grandchildren and 2 dogs! I have always done crafting of some sort, originally knitting, cross stitching and tapestry, then I began paper crafting some years ago and haven't looked back!
I like to take photos of my garden for scrapbooking and the one on here is a sunflower that the birds kindly planted for me!
P.S. - Now I have gone back to doing a lot of knitting, crocheting and sewing too!
