Gruffies & Guests Ch#15 - Flowers and Ribbon

I've just posted the halfway reminder over on Gruffies & Guests for the 15th challenge, Anything Goes with the option of Flowers and Ribbon.  I made a very simple DT card, stamping and water colouring one of my cute HM stamps, slightly off centre unfortunately as I tried to allow for the ribbon and over estimated!  Pop on over to the blog for details of the prize to be won this month!

Journal52 - Just Write

Our prompt on Journal52 for the week has been Just Write, where we had to use our own handwriting.  I didn't want to write anything personal for this one, so decided to use a few verses from a little poem I wrote recently.  I had got in mind a pack of rub ons to use for this that seemed ideal but when I went to use them they wouldn't rub on at all!  Another pack for the bin, it's not the first time this has happend!  I don't think I will buy any more, I have had them a while but even so they should still work!

Pastel Flowers

I have made an anniversary card for my mum and dad and am going to enter it into a couple of challenges.  I have used patterned paper for the matting and also to punch out the flowers and butterflies.  The image is printed from a Jayne Netley Mayhew CD.

Butterfly Challenge - P is for Patterned Paper plus Butterflies.

The Craft Barn - Something Flowery - has to include a hand made flower - I have used paper punches to make mine.

Journal52 - Colouring Page Inspiration

Our prompt for the week on Journal52 has been Colouring Page Inspiration.  I wasn't sure how to go about this one as a colouring page on it's own didn't seem very 'journally' to me if that's even a word!  So I searched online and printed off a page that I water coloured and then added it to my journal with a few extras which I felt was more in keeping with my journal!

Journal52 - Artistic Restraint

Our prompt for this week on Journal52 has been Artistic Restraint and we could only use one shape, one colour, black and white.  I found this a bit hard as I like to use an assortment of stamps!  Anyway I chose to use a star although I actually think this stamp may be a starfish!  I couldn't, however, restrain myself from using my tiny bird stamp in the corner as he appears on all my journal pages!

Calendar Challenge - March

Our two prompts for The Craft Barn's Calendar Challenge this time are Yellow and Rabbit(s).  I thoroughly altering making my beer mats for this one, as I love going through my stamps to see what is suitable for the theme.  Luckily I had a plain little rabbit stamp to use as most of mine are cutesy Penny Black ones and not the look I want for my calendar, much as I love them for other things!

I am also entering these for the current Ruby's Rainbow Challenge, which is Anything But a Card.
