CYDA Challenge #21 - Father's Day/Special Man

The new theme for the next fortnight on Craft Your Days Away is Father's Day/Special Man.   Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring the challenge this time and there is a fab prize of a $10 spend from their store, so pop over and enter for a chance of winning.
For my DT work I made a card using an image from an old calendar!  I distressed the edges of some bp and matted it onto that, printed a sentiment from the computer and just added some gold nailheads for embellishment, keeping it fairly simple.

C for CAS (Clean and Simple)

The new theme on the Alphabet Challenge Blog this week is CAS ~ Clean and Simple.  I like to do these cards sometimes as less can be more quite effectively and it can be easy to get carried away and throw lots of things on cards sometimes!  For my DT work I used a Penny Black Stickeroo, some MM gingham BP and a few gems, the sentiment is by Daisy and Dandelion.

For my DT work I used one of my Maggie Sugar Nellie stamps, and coloured her with Promarkers and Copics (I always use a mixture!).  The bp is DCWV.

B for Brads and Bling

Thanks to blogger being out of action for about 24 hours I finally managed to post the Alphabet Challenge yesterday evening, then promptly forgot to put it on my own blog!  The theme for this week is B for Brads and Bling, and for my DT work I used one of my lovely House Mouse images and some free bp.  The dragonfly is a brad and there is bling on the dragonfly body, plus I glittered the wings, it doesn't show up too well on the pic though.

Sparkles Christmas Challenge #4 - Holly or Ivy

The theme on the monthly challenge blog Sparkles Forum Christmas Challenges, is Holly or Ivy.  It was originally going to be Holly and Ivy, so for  my DT work I managed to find an ivy stamp that I used on the  background of my tag, inked with Adirondack Lettuce, and I used a Crafty Individuals image that I distressed the edges of and attached to the tag.  I finished with felt ric rac, a charm fan, and red jewels.  There is a prize of a £10 voucher for Joanne Sheen online store, so pop over to the blog and take part - it is never too early to start on those Christmas cards!!
