I was going through some old Christmas cards and some of them are too nice to throw out! I loved this teddy image so used a Nestie die to cut him off the old card! I then noticed the sketch on the current Sketch and Stash Challenge uses a circle so have made this card for that. My neglected stash used is the blue card base, I bought a pack of these coloured cards ages ago and don't use them! Also new is the silver frosted card I used for the snowflakes (cut with a QK die), and the message is from a new Penny Black set of stamps. The backing paper is DCWV.
I need a variety of Christmas cards, some quick ones and some more detailed. I noticed on Christmas Cards All Year Round blog their challenge this month is to make 5 cards - no theme or colour specified. As I have been making some this morning I decided to enter these ones! 3 are stamped and 2 are using stickers.
The list of ingredients we have to use this time onReady Steady STAMP Challenge 6 is - Pink, white and grey, the letter B, a mask on the background, brackets and corrugated cardstock. I think I have got them all on this fat book page I made, using a Penny Black bird stamp, a Tim Holtz mask, some spritzing with a Silver Glimmer Mist, dots with Liquid Pearls and my Slice for the little brackets!
The theme this week on Gothic Archesit Bows to use either bows or an image with a bow on. I used a Queen's Dresser Drawers stamp which I paper pieced with K & Co Hannah paper and used it also for the background.
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Autumn Fest - to make anything to do with Autumn. I made a Gothic Arch using an image from a Joanna Sheen CD and backing papers and embellishments, edging with a Copper Krylon pen.
I found another challenge blog I hadn't seen before while hopping yesterday - DragonsDream Tag It On - and as I love making tags I had to have a go. The current challenge is - Text it to me - Make it Purple! So I used Dusty Concord and Milled Lavender Distress Inks, a purple Glimmer Mist which doesn't show up too well on the photo and an assortment of stamps and embellishments to make my tag!
While blog hopping I came across a challenge blog I hadn't seen before -Something Completely Different. The current challenge is to make a moo with some metal on. I love making moos and haven't made any for a while, so I inked mine with Broken China Distress Ink, stamped some butterflies and a border, added some words and a metal butterfly charm and some ric rac.
I made this card for 2 challenges,Sketch and Stash (my old stash was the base card which I have had for years! and the stamp is an old one too) and Papertake Weekly Challenge which this week is 'Faking It' - I did faux stitching on my card. The papers are from Funky Fairys Cherish collection.
We have reached X on Linda'sAlphabet Challenge Blogand I couldn't come up with anything British for my nature themed atcs, so I made an X and used a selection of my lovely little Tapestry Stamps instead!
This card is for 2 challenges - Papertake Weekly where there is a sketch to follow, and the Anything Goes Challenge on Craft Swap Forum, which this month is Christmas. I used a Pink Gem Designs stamp, but I had to add a mouth I am afraid! and coloured it in with Copics and Promarkers. The papers are DCWV.
I made a Star Book for a friend's birthday using her favourite papers, Rustic Gem, and her favourite colours and images. I then spent a tense week waiting for it to arrive in the post even though it was sent first class!!
The theme on My Time to Craft, which will run for 2 weeks due to holidays, is Polka Dot Party. I used some dotty background papers which were free from a cardmaking magazine, and a stamp and message, with some punched paper flowers with dots in the middles made with Stickles!
It was our granddaughter's birthday in June and these are some of the photos I took of her opening her pressies! We also bought her a car seat which is why there is a photo of her sitting in it!! The papers are DCWV and the Happy Birthday is cut with a Cuttlekids alphabet. The first LO is also the one I have used when I set the September Scrapbook Challenge onCraft Swap Forum.
I am married with 3 grown up children ,4 grandchildren and 2 dogs! I have always done crafting of some sort, originally knitting, cross stitching and tapestry, then I began paper crafting some years ago and haven't looked back!
I like to take photos of my garden for scrapbooking and the one on here is a sunflower that the birds kindly planted for me!
P.S. - Now I have gone back to doing a lot of knitting, crocheting and sewing too!
