In My Bag

For the Those Little Things We Overlook challenge I am taking part in on UKS, we had to photograph our handbags and the contents! As I don't go out much, my handbag is a lot emptier than it used to be, especially when I was trailing small children around everywhere! So anyway, here it mine!

Summer Time

I had a special visitor on Monday - Ann from Enfield Scrapmates Crop arranged to bring Shimelle round to meet me as I am unable to go to the crop in person! It was fab to meet her! She brought the kit for the class she was teaching, and I made mine up at home, tweaking it a little here and there to suit me, and here is my DLO!

Play Music

The theme on Make a Moo or Two this weeks is to use browns and creams only. I made these Moos with some K & Co. backing papers, rubbed over with Vintage Photo Distress Inks, and some background stamping, then added some vintage images, words, Primas and ric rac.

Peaceful Times

There is a weekly scrapbook challenge set on UKS that I haven't taken part in for ages and keep meaning to, well this week I have! The challenge was to use a peace theme, mostly white, no pp's, something metal, a bird somewhere, 2 or more photos and to follow their sketch. I made this LO with a few photos of Georgia when she was a baby, sleeping - they were definitely Peaceful Times!!

Fun Times Mini Book

I was able to join in at home again yesterday with the Enfield Scrapmates Mega Crop. This is a project designed by Ann Freeman, who runs the crop. The kit was brought to me to work on at home as I am unable to go myself. The papers used are Fancy Pants and are absolutely fabby papers and colours, all I needed to add were my Petal Point Chalk Inks and a selection of photos.

The last photo is a bit blurred, sorry! It was difficult to photograph some of the pages as they have flappy bits that open here and there!

Thank you again Ann for letting me take part yesterday!

I am going to make these into an accordian style book I think!

Funky Fairy Challenge

The challenge this week on Funky Fairys is:

make a card/layout using no backing papers whatsoever! All backgrounds must either be stamped, inked, painted or chalked (for example) and any topper or embellishment must also be made using a rubber stamped design/image. The sentiment as well should be stamped and not printed from the computer or a rub-off. The only concession to paper/card that will be made, is for matting and layering purposes only.

I need a card for my BIL's birthday soon, so I used Weathered Wood Distress Ink on the background, and randomly stamped all over, then stamped the image and greeting on another piece of inked card, and matted these on to the main card.

Dans Ma Maison Il y a ...

I found a different challenge to have a go at, called Dans Ma Maison Il Y A .... and this week the theme is Butterfly! So I made my house, and stamped some butterflies in Versamark and clear embossed them, then rubbed over with chalk inks. I rubber over some Gold dabber and stamped some flowers and foliage around, then stuck on a butterfly scrap image and stamped some words and cut them out, and finished off with some Primas.

New Home

The new challenge on My Time To Craft is New Home. I made my card by rubbing Spiced Marmalade and Peeled Paint Distress Inks on the background and splattering with some water. Then I stamped randomly some flower images, stamped the message and embossed it and matted it on to the card, and added a dragonfly brad to finish.

Cheers!

The theme on Sunday Stampers is Wine - I was really stumped on this one as I have no stamps of any significance that were suitable so was unable to make my usual 6" tag! Then I looked closer at one stamp and saw some bunches of grapes, and found a wine glass on another, and so made this INCHIE!!

A DLO I made for my Garden Album, of the late snow we had in April this year!

Flowers In The Snow

I made a DLO for my Garden Album, and used photos I took in the snow we had in April. Usually my snowy pictures are of bare trees etc, but this year all the flowers were out and covered in snow which I thought looked unusual! So I used some coloured papers and embellishments to co-ordinate.

Hope

I felt like making an atc, which I haven't for a while! I called it Hope as I will be sending it to someone whose swaps got lost in the post, and I Hope it arrives this time and I Hope she likes it!! I used Crafty Individuals paper and stamp, and Tattered Rose and Dusty Concord Distress Inks and some stamping, ribbon and a brad, and a bit of Stickles!

The challenge on InchybyInch is Faces, so I have stamped a boy from my Tim Holtz cube and cut him out and popped him on a Distress Ink splattered background, together with a Doodad!

Sweetie!

The theme on Papertake Weekly this week is Lime and Lilac, so I have made a LO of Georgia wearing those colours! I have used an assortment of papers, embossed a piece with a Cuttlebug folder, and punched out some flowers and attached with Primas and brads. The word Sweetie is a K & Co Margo one.

Here Comes Summer!

Caroline's challenge on sea-gals skinnys this week is Here Comes Summer. I printed off a free image from Art-e-zine, and put her on a background of Mustard Seed Distress Ink for the beach and a piece of K & Co Hannah paper for the sea/sky. I stamped some Tanda stamps on the background and finished off with a piece of blue ric-rac.

Big Cats

The challenge on Sunday Stampers this week is Cats, so I have used a couple of my big cats stamps for this one, stamping them on my tag, masking them and making the background with Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks and some foliage stamps. I used my Dymo for the words and watercoloured the cats in afterwards.

Scrap Your Day - 25th April

I am taking part in the Shimelle Scrap Your Day class, where we take photos all day on the 25th of each month. My life isn't terribly exciting as I rarely get out, but I managed to find a few things to photograph throughout the day and am quite pleased with how the first month turned out! If you click on it you can read about my exciting day!!

The theme on Make a Moo or Two this weeks is Mothers Day. I used some K & Co Hannah paper for the backgrounds, printed off some images from Art-e-Zine, typed out the words on the pc and printed them and stamped the background a little and added some Primas.

Going Dotty!

The challenge on Funky Fairy's this week is Going Dotty. I needed to make a birthday card for a friend whose birthday is coming up and I am hoping she will like this one! I used some K & Co. (I think!) spotty paper, edged a piece in Black Soot Distress Ink, stamped a Penny Black image that I know she likes, and a Happy Birthday, matted them onto black card, and punched out some black flowers and secured with cream brads.

Serene

The theme on sea-gals skinnys this week is an open one for us to do our favourite. Well I have 2 favourties, vintage and nature, so I went with vintage this time! I used Crafty Invididuals papers for the background, I printed off an image, then stamped and embossed in gold round the edges and corners and added a word and flower embellishments, edging it all with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
