The challenge on House Mouse and Friends challenge blog is embossing. I needed a Christening card for my great-nephew, so I used my HM stamp Relaxing Ride, some PP, and my Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots to make this card, finishing with Primas and brads.
I don't usually do this, but I have made a card for 2 challenges as time is short!! House Mouse & Friends have the theme I'ts Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, and Papertake Weekly have Let it Snow. I used my Gruffy stamp of the bear in the snow on his sled and got a bit carried away with my snowflakes round the edges!
The challenge on House Mouse and Friends this week is Lace it Up. I have used lace and sticky paper and fine glitter to make a lace effect strip on the edge of my card - it doesn't really show up too well but it is lace-look! Then I stamped my image and watercoloured in the mice and coloured the dragonfly with Sakura glitter pens and added glitter glue to the wings. Finally I punched out some flowers to match the matting and added Stickles to the centres.
There is a new challenge blog, House Mouse and Friends, and their first challenge is to make something with the theme New. My niece is expecting her third baby any day now, so I have made a New Baby card using a Happy Hopper stamp, Love Bunny. I covered my card in lemon backing paper, stamped my image and watercoloured it in, and stamped a quote and message and matted them on too and added some flower/button embellishments to finish it.
