Sarah's Birthday

It is my daughter Sarah's birthday on Friday, and she is mad on stars, pink and cupcakes! So I got my stamps out and had fun making this card for her! I hope she likes it!

Buttons Inchie

The theme on InchybyInch this week is Buttons. I used the packaging from K & Co Life Journey embellishments for the background and some K & Co buttons with Glossy Accents on them.

A Little Bit of Sunshine

That is the current theme on My Time To Craft this week, and I got very carried away stamping and painting in my seaside themed stamps onto this card!

Poppy

I made this LO for another challenge on UKScrappers. We had to use a photo of an animal, use black, red and gold, and stitching (either real or doodled etc.) I got very carried away with my doodle stitches and put them on everything! I used my Slice for the alphas, flourish and little shapes under the photo, and paper punches for the flowers that aren't Primas!

Moo Swap

I run a monthly Moo Swap on Craft Swap Forum and here are my 3 moos for this month, made using Paper Artsy stamps and Distress Inks.

Here Come The Girls!

Here is a LO I did for a challenge on UKScrappers - it was a sketch to follow, and I was meant to have 4 pieces of photo but mine worked better by cutting it into 3! It is a very plain LO for me as I like to fill the spaces a bit more but that was the sketch!

Friday 23 January 2009

Faces

The challenge on InchybyInch is faces and while I had my inks etc out I decided to make one, using a Crafty Individuals stamp and Distress Inks.

Home Moo

The theme on Make a Moo or Two is Buildings. I used a Paper Artsy stamp, some Distress Inks for the background and a bit of background stamping and embellishing for my moo.

Horse

I decided to do the Sketch and Stash Challenge again this week, and used my lovely new horse stamp from Linda Luckin stamps that arrived today (click on the sunflower link on the right), together with some lovely Funky Fairys papers, from the Cherish and Hope collections.

2 Awards

I am lucky enough to have been given 2 awards over the last 2 days, so thank you to Maria and Shaz. I will pass them on to everyone who visits my blog over the next couple of days!

Laugh

The theme on MTTC is You're Having a Laugh - well I couldn't think of anything funny so I found a quote with the word Laugh and made a skinny!

Tuesday 20 January 2009

Vintage Love

The theme on Small World of Inchies and Twinchies is Vintage Love - I used a Crafty Individuals image, some paper and embellishments to make my Twinchie.

Like My Hat?

Another LO of Louise for a challenge on UKScrappers - we had to use chipboard on our LO and so I painted some alphas with acrylic paints for this one. And I used my Slice for the question mark as there wasn't one in the alpha!

The Butterfly Project

Here is another butterfly for The Butterfly Project - details a few posts down. I thought it was quite appropriate to use these Invoke Flower Children stamps with children's faces in the flowers and butterflies.

Christmas Tree

A few of us started doing a challenge on UKS at the beginning of 2008, called Those Little Things We Overlook. It has almost come to a standstill, but I would like to fill my album, so I did a quick LO about the Christmas Tree, what type we have and our oldest and newest decoration.

Dotty, Sketch and Stash!

I don't usually, but have on this occasion, combined 2 challenges. The first is the Penny Black Saturday challenge which is Let's Get Dotty, and the second is the new Sketch and Stash Challenge which is to use a sketch and new stash.

I have followed the sketch, and used some of the fabby new Dots are Distressing Vol 1 papers available to buy as downloads from Funky Fairys Papercrafts and my new and up till now unused Penny Black stamp, An Afternoon.

Wake Up and Smell the Coffee

The Tanda Teaser challenge on the Tanda Forum at the moment is Wake up and smell the coffee - and the background had to be made using real tea or coffee! I made some strong coffee and rubbed it over some card until I liked the shade, then stamped onto it and matted onto some patterned paper, going round all the edges with chalk ink, and finally finishing with some brads and a little pearl in the flower.

A - Z Journal - W

The end is in sight! I am up to W so nearly there with my A - Z Journal of Craft Techniques and Materials that I began in January 08. I hope to finish it very soon!

The Butterfly Project

In an effort to remember the 1,500,000 innocent children who perished during the Holocaust, The Holocaust Museum in Houston is organising a massive exhibition, currently scheduled for Spring 2012, and is asking people to make a butterfly to represent every child who died.

More details are here

Craft Swap Forum is taking part in this project and is hoping to make a large collection of butterflies to send to the Museum.

Here is my first one - I will make some more!

Christmas Cards

I came across a blog called Christmas Cards All Year Round - you make 5 cards a month to the theme set and by Christmas you have plenty of cards! Sounds good to me - the theme for this month is to use traditional Red and Green colours, and use stamped or rub on messages. Here are my 5 for January!

Pink and Brown

The theme on Penny Black Saturday this week is Pink and Brown, so here is my card using HOTP papers and PB stamps for the dog and greeting, plus my nestabilities and punches.

My Version of Tim's Day 12 Tag Plus all 12!

My TagsTim's Tags!

I have finally made Tag 12 of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas - and have also taken a photo of all 12 of mine plus a pic of Tim's too! I am really pleased to have finished them all and I have had some lovely comments from people so thank you - they are much appreciated!

Scrap Your Day - 25th December 08

I am still working on this project by Shimelle, taking photos all day on the 25th of each month - 9 months done and 3 to go! Here is my LO for Christmas Day.

Tuesday 13 January 2009

Mice and Easy!

The theme on My Time To Craft this week is Mice and Easy, so I used one of my lovely House Mouse stamps, watercoloured it in and matted it onto patterned paper which I had stamped with paws, and added a message. I then added some gems and flowers with brads to finish.

Louise Loves The Telly!

Here is a LO for a challenge on UKS where we had to use either hearts or stars! I chose hearts and used some of the fab new Funky Fairys kit, Ecclectic Lurve (available to purchase as a download here) and I used my Slice to cut some hearts too!

Monday 12 January 2009

Blue Twinchie

The theme on Small World of Inchies and Twinchies is Blue Colours - so here is mine!

Quick Card in a Quarter

The challenge on Tanda Teaser, on the Tanda Stamps forum, is to make a quick card in 15 minutes! This one is a quick card, I rubbed Faded Jeans and Broken China Distress Inks over the card, splattered with water and dried with my heat gun. The I stamped my Crafty Individuals swirl stamp around the edges, and highlighted a few bits with my Inkssentials pen. Then I stamped a message and matted it and added it to the card with a dragonfly brad to complete!

Sunday 11 January 2009

Winter Frost Moo

The theme on Make a Moo or Two this week is Winter Frost. I am short on time so just made one this time, stamping some trees, painting in the sky, glitter gluing the frost and printing out a couple of words from the PC. Finally I edged it all with silver Krylon.

Friday 9 January 2009

The Life of a Tulip

I have made Garden Albums for the last couple of years, and I blog a LO now and then! Here is one I have just made following a tulip bulb last Spring from emerging through the earth to full flowering!

Thursday 8 January 2009

Thank You Card

Another Thank You card, this time using a Hero Arts stamp which I watercoloured in, pp's and punched flowers with Stickles.

Wednesday 7 January 2009

Food Glorious Food

The new theme on My Time To Craft is Food Glorious Food, so I used one of my favourite House Mouse stamps for this one, watercolouring in and glitter gluing the icing on the cake, and matting on pp's and finally adding a message and some punched flowers.

Tuesday 6 January 2009

My Version of Tim's Day 3 Tag

I have gone back and now made Day 3 of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas - I left it out on the way past as I wasn't sure how I was going to do this one, so here it is now!

Monday 5 January 2009

Thank You Card

I am making Thank You cards at the moment, and as the theme on Penny Black Saturday is Embossing, and I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for this background of this, I thought it would be ideal! And the challenge on Tanda Teaser challenge is Thank You so I am entering it for that too! I used a Penny Black image and matted it onto the embossed background together with a stamped message, then stamped lots of tiny flowers all over with one of my Tapestry stamps and a lovely blue chalk ink as I have trouble leaving blank spaces on things! I finished with some punched flowers and gems.

Saturday 3 January 2009

My Version of Tim's Day 11 Tag

Here is my take on Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas Day 11. I don't have any fragments so made my own baubles for this tag.

Friday 2 January 2009

House Mouse

The challenge on House Mouse and Friends challenge blog is embossing. I needed a Christening card for my great-nephew, so I used my HM stamp Relaxing Ride, some PP, and my Cuttlebug embossing folder Swiss Dots to make this card, finishing with Primas and brads.

Thursday 1 January 2009

My Version of Tim's Day 10 Tag

I am still working my way through Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas! Here is my Day 10 version. It was hard to photograph as it is a dull day and the flash was bouncing off the glimmer mist!
