The challenge on Arty Girlz this week is Blue so I decided to get my House Mouse stamps out and stamped my image, water coloured it in and matted it onto my card with some patterned papers and a greeting, all in blues!
It was my turn to set the challenge on My Time To Craft, and I chose the colour scheme Black, Red and White. I made a card using DCWV paper for the background, then stamped a flower image and embossed it, then coloured in the red part of the flower and heat embossed that too. I matted it on red onto the card and added a message. Then I stamped some small flowers, coloured and embossed those and cut them out to add to the card.
The theme on A True Friend has been my pet's nemesis - and I have done this at the very last minute as I think the challenge ends today! Holly hates having her coat brushed and as soon as she sees the brushes tries to escape!!
There was a sketch to follow for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge, and here is mine, using one of my Critter Party Stamps for the main image. Luckily I remembered that it is a friend's birthday in a couple of days time so this will do nicely for her!
I am taking part in the Shimelle My Freedom class, and the first topic is Time. I have quite a lot of time on my hands due to my circumstances so I have tried to look at the positive side of this as much as I could. I am quite pleased with how it turned out.
The new theme on Make a Moo or Two is Birds. I have made my moos landscape style for the first time! I covered them in K & Co paper and rubbed over with Scattered Straw Distress Ink. I stamped a few images on, added some birds scraps, made words with my Dymo and added some embellishments.
The current theme on Small World of Inchies and Twinchies is Summer. This is my first twinchie. I inked it with chalk ink and Distress Ink for my background, then stamped images, cut out scraps and Stickled the centres of the flowers, added embellishments, and a stamped Hero Arts bird with I covered in Glossy Accents.
The theme on InchybyInch is Keys. I used a scrap piece of card that I had spritzed with Glimmer Mists to make my inchie and stamped some tiny keys on, before adding a key brad I had coloured copper with a Krylon pen, and finally edged the inchie with ink - sorry the image is a bit blurry!
The theme for this week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Buttons and Brads, to use either or both. I have stamped my Bunny Friends stamp I bought ages ago and hadn't got round to using and watercoloured it in then matted it onto my card with a message attached with brads.
I inked my house with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. I added a strip of tape measure paper and stamped various background stamps containing numbers. I cut out a couple of clock faces and stamped the main saying (by Paper Artsy) and added some Primas, butterflies and a brad to finish off.
Another LO for my Holiday Album - up to 1988 now!! This is Sarah's first proper beach holiday and she loved it! The journalling is all round the photos so you will need to click on it if you would like to read it!
Here is a bit of a strange LO you are probably thinking! It is for the Those Little Things We Overlook challenge I am taking part in, and this theme was our phones!! I took a pic of my original first mobile alongside the one I have now - quite a difference!
The current theme on Dans Ma Maison il y a ... is a Boy. I covered my house in some K & Co papers, and rubbed Vintage Photo Distress Ink over it. I printed off an Art-e-Zine image of a boy, and stamped the background, and added some Primas and a Tim Holt doodad and Life's Journey embellishment.
The challenge on Penny Black Saturday this week is a colour one, using Pink, Brown and Green. I stamped an image with my new Penny Black stamp (thank you Andrea!) and water coloured it in, then matted it onto pinks and brown papers onto a green card, and added some flowers and a greeting.
The new challenge on My Time To Craft is Seasons. I made an arch, inking each quarter with Distress Inks appropriate for the season - then stamped, coloured in and cut out various images and added embellishments. Finally I divided the arch into sections with a ric rak stamp.
I am married with 3 grown up children ,4 grandchildren and 2 dogs! I have always done crafting of some sort, originally knitting, cross stitching and tapestry, then I began paper crafting some years ago and haven't looked back!
I like to take photos of my garden for scrapbooking and the one on here is a sunflower that the birds kindly planted for me!
P.S. - Now I have gone back to doing a lot of knitting, crocheting and sewing too!
